Cunningham
Founder & Chairman
Rob is an iconic game developer and artist with a
singular eye for building evocative, vibrant
worlds. He was one of the founding members of
Relic Entertainment, where he oversaw the creative
direction for Homeworld, Homeworld 2, Dawn of War,
Company of Heroes and other titles. He then turned
his attention towards forming Blackbird
Interactive.
Eric
Torin
CEO
Eric brings 28 years of diverse technical,
production, business and managerial experience,
including fourteen years in the gaming industry.
He was a narrative designer at Relic Entertainment
before joining EA as a development director for a
variety of EA Sports games. At BBI, Eric wields
his considerable business and development
experience to drive and iterate on its business
strategy.
Rory
McGuire
President & CCO
Rory brings over 20 years of experience in
hands-on design and consulting for new and
established IP. He was a lead designer at Sony
Online Entertainment and High Moon Studios where
he worked on beloved properties like Planetside 2,
Darkwatch, and The Bourne Conspiracy. Rory now
leads BBI’s creative ambition and strategy.
Mike
Sikora
CTO
Mike joined Blackbird in 2021, but his game
development journey started at the age of seven.
By high school, it was a full-on job. With 20+
years of experience in VR, data visualization, and
procedural content, he’s still driven by his
passion for building engaging, technically
challenging games.
Lee
Mckinnon Pederson
VP, Development
Lee has led teams for over 25 years and is a
pillar of the Vancouver games industry. She has
built deep connections through her exceptional
leadership and team management in a variety of
roles - ranging from QA Director to Studio
Director. She joined BBI to lead Minecraft Legends
as an Executive Producer, but now oversees all
development across our many projects.
